The Cycle of Anger
Help your anger management clients visualize the cycle of anger using this resource. This worksheet puts topics such as triggers, negative thoughts, and anger warning signs into context, and can be used as a great segue into each of these topics. Each step in the cycle includes an example, but we suggest collaborating with your client to review one of their own recent experiences to see how it fits with the cycle. Using a personal example will help to clarify the cycle. It can also be effective to break a group into pairs and ask them to write out a time that they have gone through each step of the cycle.
