Chore Challenge (Chore Chart)

worksheet

Help parents create a fun system for their children to earn points and rewards when they complete chores. Write a task for the child to complete within each box on the chore challenge worksheet. For example, in the "morning" column the parent might write: "Wake up by 7:30 AM", "brush teeth", and "get to the bus on time". Every time one of these tasks is completed successfully, check off one box.

Allow the child to watch their points accumulate, and work toward earning predetermined awards. Keep them simple: "25 points for pizza night" or "100 points for trip to the movies" are good examples. Good goals should be a challenge, but not impossible. Try to set goals that will be completed successfully about 80% of the time.
