Setting Life Goals

The Setting Life Goals worksheet serves as an effective motivation builder, which can also help to provide direction for therapy. Give your clients an opportunity to think about the most important areas of their lives (family, friends, work/school, spirituality, body, and mental health), what they are happy with, and what they would like to improve.

This resource serves as a good conversation started for groups, and it can help to shape some objectives for either individual or group therapy. Research tells us that clients are much more likely to complete psychotherapy when they've developed specific goals for their treatment, so we suggest using this worksheet early on!
