Gratitude Journal: Three Good Things

worksheet

"Three good things" is a classic gratitude exercise where participants are asked to write down three good things from their day, whether big or small. Practicing gratitude regularly has been shown to increase positive emotions and improve well-being.

The Gratitude Journal: Three Good Things worksheet provides three gratitude prompts per day, for seven days. Each prompt is a simple sentence prefix, such as "One good thing that happened to me today..." or "Today I had fun when...". The objective of this handout is to ease clients into the habit of gratitude journaling.

After completing this activity for one week, encourage your clients to continue the "three good things" gratitude exercise without the aid of prompts.
