Activity List

A simple List of Activities can be a surprisingly useful resource in your therapy toolbox. This handout lists 48 activities that just about anyone can do to have fun, relax, or get moving.

Some situations where this worksheet can come in handy include:

  • Planning activities for behavioral activation [link to guide] to manage depression
  • Choosing a new hobby group to join to combat loneliness or social anxiety
  • Coming up with affordable date night ideas for couples
  • Finding distractions for getting through difficult feelings and urges, such as addictions (see our Urge Surfing handout)

Use this tool however you need, depending on your client. For example, you can ask your client to circle their favorite activities, schedule two activities per week, or discuss which activity they find most rewarding.
